| | A Night at the Races
Folks who fancy a little harmless flutter on the horses are invited to a Night at the Races in Lichfield.
The event will see ‘racegoers’ placing their bets on filmed races cheering their nags on to the winning post.
The fundraiser for Lichfield Mysteries is on Friday March 2 and will include a fish & chip supper.
Chair of the Mysteries Council of Management, Ros Hallifax, said: “We wanted to arrange a great night’s entertainment and raise funds for the 2012 Mysteries at the same time.
“We hope people will come along and join in the fun, have a flutter and win some cash for themselves as well as adding much-needed funds to the Mysteries’ coffers.”
The event is run by professional company Racefilm Services.
The Night at the Races is at Lichfield City FC Social Club, Brownsfield Road, off Eastern Avenue, Lichfield. There is a licensed bar.

Thursday 29th March
An evening of Floral Creations
Secret Garden floral designers of Lichfield and the Mysteries invite you to a demonstration of floral designs. Come along and watch the experts create wonderful floral designs for every occasion from weddings to corporate events.
The evening includes a complementary glass of wine and cakes and the flower arrangements will be raffled off at the end of the evening. The event starts at 7.30pm at Wade Street Church Hall, Frog Lane, Lichfield.
