Mysterious Lichfield woman chaired
Lichfield Mysteries has a new leader - and for the very first time it's a woman, local fundraiser Polly Dixon.
Polly comes to the Mysteries from a role as a vice chair in the Save the Children fund, but has also been previously involved in the Mysteries both as a performer and as part of the Management Committee.
Looking ahead to the next Mysteries Cycle, now only two years away in May 2009,Polly sees the challenge as building on the excellent foundations that already exist, but also offering something new and different.
Says Polly:
Arts Council Grant – We got it!
I have just recovered from dancing round the kitchen and am delighted to be able to let you know the good news. We have been incredibly lucky and have managed to obtain a grant from the Arts Council. This will pay for the professional team who will help us to make next years production bigger and better than ever before, with improved sound and lighting and a good allocation of money for costumes and sets.
Thankfully we can now settle down to more detailed planning with our first job to recruit a new Artistic Designer.
For more information keep watching the web site.
In the mean time we have various fund raising events arranged and hope you will support us in attending and maybe helping with the organisation. If you want to get involved in any way leave a message for Jill on the web page or send me an email.
Any interested parties should contact the Mysteries Administrator, Jill Taylor:
